DAVIDIC PRINCIPLE FOR BRINGING DOWN A GIANT - Abiodun Adeboye
PRINCIPLE 2: NEVER USE A WEAPON YOU HAVE NOT TESTED.
1Sam17:38-39
Yesterday, we learned from David that we need to remember our past victories when we face a giant type of challenge so as to boost our confidence in God.
Today, David is telling us, "don't use an untested weapon".
Saul's armour was good but was untested, David had been fighting and winning before and he never needed this strange weapon, to be victorious.
A hymn writer said "the arms of flesh will fail you" don't put your trust in the chariot and horses but in the Lord.
David took his sling and five stones, he had tried it before and it didn't fail.
When faced with a giant challenge, don't be so overwhelmed that you just do anything that goes, take a
stock of how you won the past victories and redeploy the same instruments of Heartfelt prayers, fasting and the word, these are proven weapons that has never failed before, use them again.
Remember, it is God that will teach your hands to war. (Ps144:1)
I believed this has helped you today, tomorrow will move a very interesting part.
