DAVIDIC PRINCIPLES FOR BRINGING DOWN A GIANT - By Abiodun Adeboye
Dear reader, yesterday we learnt that to bring down a giant we must not use an untested weapon. Today we will be considering a very interesting part of the giant slaying story.
Principle 3: *Confront the giant in the name of the Lord* 1Sam 17:41-45
In verse 41-43, David took a bold step by confronting the giant, even though he was a boy, He knew that he was not alone. The greater one was in him and there is no reason to fear.
*Whatever you don't confront you can't conquer* as a believer we must stop allowing fear dominate us when faced with a challenge, some of us just decide to ignore matters that we ought to confront and we allow the enemy to buffet us.
Another side of the verse was in 42-43, the Philistine looked down on David as a small boy but it was to his own on undoing.
I have always told people around me, *you are not too small for what God is leading you to do* don't allow the people to intimidate you when you know that God is with you. David ignored the word of the giant and fixed his eyes on the Lord, *whatever is facing you is not greater than the one that is with you*
David had a better revelation of God that the other petrified Jewish army, *those who know their God dares the impossible* the more intimately you know God the stronger you become in the face of adversity.
I have discovered that the great challenge is what bring great testimonies, like some people say *the higher they come, the higher they fall*
Whether it's a financial, academic, carreer, spiritual or any type of giant challenge you are facing, *confront it in the name of the Lord
This principle is so enlightening to me that I will have to continue it again tomorrow, so join me tomorrow as we look at *confront the giant in the name of the Lord (2)
Our Goliath must fall!!!
