JOY OF PAIN - Abiodun Adeboye

let's kick off the joy of pain with this thought.

Enduring pain requires a right perspective

THE SON OF GOD'S PERSPECTIVE

Beaten and scorned by many
Yet he never stopped looking up
For a crown of glory beckon after this is done .
His shame was lesser compared
to the weight of the glory and a name above any.

*THE DISCIPLE'S PERSPECTIVE*
Flogged, beaten up
In a deep pain
Yet they counted it all joy
To suffer pain for a good course,
A greater rewards upon their gaze.

PAUL'S PERSPECTIVE
A great apostle of faith
Held by chains in a prison
Yet he wrote with ink and pen
Saying to those outside,
Rejoice, rejoice.

He called his affliction light
He said it was but for a moment

That's a powerful perspective

How you see your pain matters
If you will survive and live above it's sting.

A PREACHER'S PERSPECTIVE
It's not what you go through that matters
but how you go through it.

Separate who you are from what you are going through

Focus your eyes on the prize that awaits you when you are paying the price.
