Mountain Top University has announced their fees for 2017/2018 session. Find out how much you will have to dish out for one year of studying at this prestigious Nigerian private university. In this article, you will find all the MTU school fees, including the fees for their predegree, undergraduate and foundation programmes.


Mountain Top University tuition fees - predegree

Mountain Top University has three different programmes, one of which is the predegree programme. For this one, the fees are the same regardless of the course.

Here is the breakdown of the fees:

Tuition: ₦300,000

Accommodation: ₦150,000

Administrative charges: ₦20,000

Medical and incidental charges:₦30,000

ID card: ₦2,000

Total fees: ₦502,000

You can also pay the fees in two 50% instalments. In addition to this, there is also an acceptance fee for new students, which is ₦30,000.

Undergraduate fees


If you are interested in the MTU fees for undergraduate programmes, we can help you with that as well. Unlike with the predegree programmes, not all fees for undergraduates are the same.

For example, all of the courses at the College of Basic and Applied sciences (which include Applied Geophysics, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Microbiology, Computer Science, Mathematics, Food Science & Technology, Physics) cost ₦520,000 per year.

The same goes for some of the courses from the College of Humanities and Management Sciences (Accounting, Public Administration, Banking & Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Mass Communication, Industrial Relations & Personnel Management).

As for the rest of the courses from that college, namely English, Religious Studies and Music, the fee for those is ₦450,000.

The two-instalment payment scheme works here as well. New students also have to pay the ₦30,000 acceptance fee.

Foundation school fees


Last, but not least, let’s talk about fees for the foundation programme. Similarly to the predegree programme, the fees do not depend on the course.

Here is a detailed overview:

Tuition: ₦300,000

Accommodation: ₦150,000

JUPEB registration: ₦25,000

Syllabus: ₦1,000

Administrative charges: ₦20,000

Medical and incidental charges:₦30,000

ID card: ₦2,000

Total fees: ₦528,000

As always, students have an option to pay in two instalments, and new students also have to pay the ₦30,000 acceptance fee.
