Nosa Rocks the Cover of Imbue Magazine’s New Issue
Chocolate City’s recording artiste, Nosa rocks the cover of Imbue Magazine with style as he talks ministry, purpose and all in an Exclusive interview.
This edition (11th) of Imbue – Nigeria’s premiere christian music and lifestyle magazine, also features Koryn Hawthorne, Lacey Sturm and more.
According to Imbue Mag, Nosa commented that the idea of a Christian working in a profession with those not considered to be part of the faith is hardly an issue. People generally have a binary mind-set about these things. For them, it’s always “either/or”, so you’d hear questions like “How can a Christian be on a ‘secular’ label and be comfortable?” His retort to this line of questioning is pretty straightforward. In his own words, “Most of such divides are created from a religious perspective and a mindset that makes people think they speak for God.”
In a world often bereft of nuance and always quick to run to labels and boxes, he’s explicit about how a man can functionally thrive as a Christian in “the marketplace” without becoming a walking contradiction. According to him, “With adequate knowledge of scripture, your ministry is not really your profession, but your purpose as a living, breathing child of God. So, whether you have a day job or not, you’re indebted to the Body of Christ, based on the grace of God at work in you. So yeah, I keep both labels. Can you be a father and a CEO? Yes. Does being one hamper the other? No.”
